The ultimate goal of JITLI is to create a partnership between the communities of San Diego, Sha&amp;#39;ar HaNegev, Segev Shalom and Lakiya. JITLI aims to break down stereotypes and build lasting relationships leading to a vibrant and meaningful co-existence.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;JITLI offers the opportunity for the participants to appreciate their similarities, acknowledge their differences and understand each other&amp;#39;s cultures. JITLI impacts the lives of the young participants forever, imbuing them with the knowledge, the tools and the will to affect their own futures and those of their peers and communities.       <description>The United Jewish Federation of San Diego County running a special Taglit-Birthright Israel trip EXCLUSIVELY for San Diego County young adults ages 22-26, on July 16&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;, 2008 in honor of Israel&amp;#39;s 60&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; birthday. We&amp;#39;ll visit the Sha&amp;#39;ar HaNegev Region of Israel, San Diego&amp;#39;s Partnership Region, and learn how it is dealing with the current conflict in nearby Gaza, hike Masada, swim in the Dead Sea and spend Shabbat in Jerusalem and even visit Eilat -- Israel&amp;#39;s Cancun! As part of this fantastic experience, we&amp;#39;ll spend part of the trip with Israeli soldiers exploring the differences between life in America and life in Israel.
